Dr. Crystal LaBass holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Seattle and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She completed doctoral dual-internships at the Fremont Community Therapy Project and at Ryther Child Center, Seattle. Dr. LaBass works with teens and adults as a trusted confidant, partner in problem-solving, and empathetic witness to their lives. She combines each individual’s unique understanding of themselves and their needs with evidence-based approaches to address issues such as anxiety, obsessive thoughts and compulsions, depression, and adjustment to chronic illness. In her work with those facing health issues, she combines her deep empathy and understanding of the challenges of managing chronic illness with research-supported approaches to offer dedicated support in this area.
In addition, Dr. LaBass specializes in meeting the therapeutic needs of Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and adult TCKs. She has received doctoral-level specialized training in Third Culture Kids (TCKs) through the independent studies program at Antioch University, Seattle. TCKs are individuals who experience frequent relocations and are exposed to multiple cultural influences during their formative years.
Dr. LaBass utilizes a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, as well as mindfulness and motivational enhancement techniques. Dr. LaBass also offers teletherapy services to those in Washington State.
