Julia M. Weil, MA, LMHC received her Masters Degree in Psychology from Seattle University and Bachelors Degree in Psychology from University of Washington. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has over fifteen years of experience working with individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient and in community.

Ms. Weil practices client centered therapy and relies on multiple theoretical perspectives including Humanistic and Existential psychology, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Object Relations, Attachment Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology and Psychodynamic theories. Ms. Weil is also a Gottman Certified Educator trained to teach Bringing Baby Home and Seven Principles of Marriage to individuals, couples and groups.

She enjoys working collaboratively with clients on broadening the understanding of life experiences. This partnership explores how past events and relationships influence the way one presently engages in the world and with others. The process leads to increased self awareness, resulting in improved wellbeing and relationship with others and adds clarity to one's life direction, values and goals.

Ms. Weil has extensive experience helping individuals with chronic and situational Mood and Anxiety disorders, as well as emotional regulation issues. She is skillful in supporting individuals, couples and families through such experiences as infertility, pregnancy, birth and postpartum concerns and parenting throughout the life span, as well as cross-cultural experiences such as reconciling multicultural identity or adjustment to life in a new country.
